Demographics: The vast majority of the people of Romania are Romanians constituting 89.5% of the population. The remaining percentage includes the Romas (2.5%), the Hungarians (6.6%), the Ukrainians (0.3%), the Russians (0.2%), the Germans (0.3%), the Turkish (0.2%) and the others (0.4%).
99.1% of male and 97.7% of female population can read and write. People of the age of 15 and over are literate. Also the life expectancy for men are 67 years and 74 years for female.
